SAFE EATS is a not-for-profit organization*, created to support the restaurant industry by providing access to health and safety best practices streamlined into one place, live clinical support, a reopening manual and a trustmark-backed media campaign to promote and validate the work our members are undertaking to keep everyone safe.

*Safe Eats, Inc. is in the process of applying for federal tax exemption as a 501(c)(3) public charity and if this designation is granted, then the full amount of any contribution will be deductible for federal income tax purposes.

HOW MUCH IS MEMBERSHIP?
DO I NEED TO BE CERTIFIED TO BECOME A MEMBER?
Safe Eats members must take the pledge and commit to upholding best in class health and standards within their restaurants. Safe Eats reserves the right to withdraw membership to restaurants found to be in violation of this agreement.
ARE YOU A NATIONAL ORGANIZATION?
At the moment, Safe Eats is applicable for restaurants in New York State. However, through our partnership with Zero Hour Health, Safe Eats plans to offer membership to all 50 states soon.

While founded during the Covid crisis, Safe Eats is a comprehensive health and safety organization. We provide best practices and expert advice (through the Zedic app) to combat the breadth of health and safety challenges a restaurant may experience.

Safe Eats will execute a multi-channel campaign (PR, social, e-mail) designed to drive awareness of the Safe Eats pledge and its members. Additionally, signage featuring the SE Trustmark will be displayed at Member Restaurants.
